January was nonstop, and with 2026 being my saving-money era, these are the favorites that were actually worth spending my dollars on.

This weekend was a cold one in Alabama! While it was below freezing a large part of the weekend, our “feels like” temperature was in the single digits. Not something we’re used to here!! ❄️🙈 When we have extreme weather, our community gets together to provide shelter for those in need. We had people come in from over an hour away because the need was so great!! My mom and I got together and made a big pan of lasagna Saturday and a large pot of chili on Sunday. While resources may be slim in a small town, I couldn’t be more grateful for our community working together to make sure nobody had to bear the cold. 🤍

Sunday’s with Sara 💌 A weekly moment to slow down, reflect, and share the journey to Internationals- one week at a time. This week wasn’t as adventurous but it’s been a successful one nonetheless. We have experienced some rough weather and really cold days here in Alabama. I’m hoping some sunshine and a little more warmth is around the corner! I launched my website this week and now I have a place to hold all the things near to my heart. Speaking of which, a new blog was just posted! It’s all about styling the perfect headshot so perfect for my pageant girls!! I got the chance to really lean into service this week- over 17 hours and more to come today!! I spent several days working on letters going out to seniors across the country then spent all day yesterday cooking for our local shelter. Today, we’re cooking again and it’s such a blessing to know there’s a warm meal and warm place to sleep available for those who need it. Of course lots of internationals prep too!! I started planning my favorites for headshot, photogenic, etc. and also breaking in some new heals. I’m getting more and more excited (especially knowing this month is bootcamp!!) One of my favorite ways to connect with elders around the country is through @loveforourelders! This nonprofit has helped send out over 90,000+ letters across the world and it’s always an honor to be apart of it. 💗 My goal with each letter is the same when interacting face to face- intention. I love finding a common connection and sharing about it, while of course shining a light and reminding them that they have a buddy in Sweet Home Alabama. Sunday’s with Sara 💌 A weekly moment to slow down, reflect, and share the journey to Internationals- one week at a time. This week was a busy one! I can only describe it as a whirlwind and I feel like I’ve lived so many lives. 😆 I must say the highlight of my week was the 24 hours spent in Memphis, Tennessee! I’ve connected with over 1,000 seniors since 2020 through my platform and music is one way I love to share a connection. I had never really listened to Elvis before I began working with seniors but that’s something that changed quickly. Touring his home and staying at the guest house was such an amazing experience- one I am so excited to tell the Buddies all about!! And I checked off so many things on my to-do list for Internationals! Headshots ✓ Ad Page Photo ✓ Print Model and Photogenic Submissions ✓ Evening Gown ✓ Fun Fashion ✓ Which brings me to the lesson learned this week, don’t stress about being behind. Sometimes you’ll find exactly where you’re meant to be. If I would’ve booked headshots elsewhere or settled for a gown I didn’t love, I would’ve missed the opportunity to meet incredible people, wear my dream wardrobe, and enjoy some quality time with my mama. Preparation creates pressure.. but take a deep breath and enjoy the little moments too. See you next Sunday🤍 XOXO Sara
Headshots are complete 📸💜✨ This was a part of prep I was most nervous for but I decided to make the 6 hour drive to shoot with @mathismakeup. So worth it!! I genuinely think I could submit the raw, fully unedited photos… she has so much talent (and brought all the laughs too!) Now I can tell the story these were shot in 35° weather all while dodging an ice/snow storm… then getting stuck in an interstate shutdown that turned our 6 hour carride into a 10 hour one 🤪

When life starts to feel like 🎄🎀🤍✨👑🎁 !!! Friends, we are ONE WEEK from Christmas! This holiday season has been such a busy one for me! Crazy schedules, getting orders out for @crownedcreativeco (I’m basically Santa’s elf at this point), and enjoying all the festivities 🤗 All Christmas orders have been shipped off so my holiday prep has now turned to wrapping presents for my family! Christmas truly is about so much more but I do LOVE gift giving to those around me. There’s something so special about celebrating those you love… and it’s almost like guilt free shopping ;) Wrapping presents always puts me in the spirit! I know it’s a task many dread but I love putting my own little touches on things. I always use pink wrapping paper and I’ve nearly perfected tying bows on gifts. I even make my own custom gift tags! Tomorrow I’ll make my famous buffalo chicken dip for a family Christmas gathering. My nephews and brother love it… but there’s not a secret recipe haha I’m unsure why people claim my buffalo chicken dip is the best but I guess it’s just because it’s made with love 🫂 I’m going to be taking some time for myself this weekend too and you should too!! Holidays can put lots of pressure on us.. but let’s remember what’s important at the end of the day. 🫶🏻
