My Superpower ♡

You are you, and THAT is your superpower.

What a cheesy quote, right?

Honestly, I’m not one for cheesy, overused lines. But for some reason, this one has been on my heart lately. Maybe it’s something I needed to hear myself, or maybe someone else does. Either way… here I am, sharing it with you today.

My year as NAM Miss Alabama started with a BANG. Like… maybe too much of a bang. (If that’s even a thing!) TMZ was calling less than a week into my reign. I had people reaching out from across the world—wanting interviews, comments, or just something. Suddenly, I was networking with leaders in body positivity and pageantry, connecting with sponsors, and stepping into opportunities I could’ve only dreamed of.

It was thrilling and overwhelming all at once.

But over the last few months, I started feeling like… I wasn’t enough. Like I wasn’t making a big enough impact, wasn’t a good enough titleholder, wasn’t doing enough to change lives. Those thoughts crept in, whispering doubt when I needed confidence most—especially with Nationals just around the corner.

Then, I remembered:

I AM ME. That is my superpower.

I don’t need Good Morning America knocking on my door to validate my impact. I don’t need headlines or viral moments to prove my worth as a titleholder.

My true impact isn’t in the headlines. It’s not about being “the plus-size Miss Alabama who clapped back at the haters.”

Because the truth is—I never “clapped back.”

I stood firm in my beliefs and showed resilience for every. single. person. watching me.

And that was my impact.

I didn’t just prove to the world that a plus-size woman can and should wear the crown. I showed something much bigger:

✨ I showed others how to stand strong in their beliefs.
✨ I showed others how to advocate for themselves and protect their mental health.
✨ I showed others how to love their bodies.
✨ I showed others how to treat people with kindness—even those determined to tear them down.
✨ I showed others how to turn life’s hardest moments into something beautiful.
✨ I showed others how to serve their community and represent their title with pride.

My story wasn’t written in the headlines. It’s written in the lives I’ve touched.

People will take different things from my journey. But no matter what they take, I know I’ve made an impact. And that is my superpower—simply because I am me.

So, here’s my message to you:

Find your strength. Find your superpower. Make your impact. Love others.

Because you are YOU. And THAT is your superpower.
